Pre-Print Torn Sheet Error, Seven Consecutive Partial Offset Errors plus Bookends Fr. 2017-G $10 1963A Federal Reserve Notes. Ten Consecutive Examples. PCGS Banknote Graded.An extraordinary consecutive run of eight error notes that was saved along with the beginning and ending non-error bookend notes. The serial numbers in this lot are G39908771A-80A. The non-error first bookend note grades Gem Unc 65 PPQ. The second note is a pre-print torn sheet error grading Gem Unc 66 PPQ, and this note is what caused the following partial offset errors. The partial offsets are in the shape of the missing paper of the second note. At this time, sheets were printed in ascending order, not descending order which is the standard operating procedure for today. Therefore, the third note with serial number, G39908773A, is the first partial offset note and its face and back partial offset printings are the darkest in this lot. It grades Choice Unc 64 PPQ. The fourth note has a little lighter face and back partial offsets and grades Gem Unc 65 PPQ. The face and back partial offsets of the fifth note are a little lighter and it grades Gem Unc 66 PPQ. The sixth note continues the little lighter face and back partial offsets and grades Gem Unc 65 PPQ. The seventh note has even lighter face and back partial offsets and grades Gem Unc 66 PPQ. With the Gem Unc 66 PPQ eighth note, the back to face partial offset completely disappears and only a light face to back partial offset remains. The ninth note face to back partial offset is lighter and this example grades Gem Unc 66 PPQ. The bookend tenth note is a non-error note and grades Choice Unc 64 PPQ. Consecutive runs of error notes of this size including bookends seldom enter our hobby. (Total: 10 notes)
