Pawtucket, RI - $10 1882 Brown Back Fr. 480 The Slater National Bank Ch. # 856 PMG Choice Very Fine 35.A quite attractive example of this tougher Rhode Island bank's scarcer second title and one of only six pieces in the census is offered here. This bank started out in North Providence in 1865, relocated to Pawtucket in 1885, and then closed its doors in 1900. Tonight's offering bears the earlier Brown Back overprint with the vertical charter number and also features well centered margins, bold ink colors, and vivid officers' signatures in black ink.
