Hudson, NY - $5 1882 Brown Back Fr. 467 The Farmers National Bank Ch. # 990 PMG Very Fine 25.One of just two $5 Brown Backs reported from this long-lived Columbia County charter , this is the first of the pair to make a public appearance since we auctioned this note in our October 2012 ANA Signature Auction. This bank originally opened as the Farmers Bank in 1839 and would operate as an independent institution for well over one hundred years. This moderately circulated note displays attractive color, bold pen signatures, and solid paper.
