East Hampton, NY - $10 1902 Plain Back Fr. 624 The East Hampton
National Bank Ch. # (E)7763 PMG Very Fine 20.A great note from one of the most avidly collected locations on all of New York's Long Island. For many years, just a couple of notes were known from this charter and any auction appearance resulted in a strong five-figure realization. A few more examples have surfaced over the past couple of decades, but, even so, the census still stands at a paltry half dozen pieces reported. That includes this $10 which was last on the market in a 2003 auction. It has some repairs and pieces added, but it maintains a more than acceptable appearance with pleasing color and legible signatures.
