Cisco, TX - $20 1902 Red Seal Fr. 639 The Merchants & Farmers
National Bank Ch. # (S)7360 PMG Very Fine 20.A great rarity from this central Texas bank, this is one of just two notes reported from this short-lived issuer that was only in business from 1904 until 1915. One of the two known examples is a $10 Date Back in a PMG Fine 15 holder that we offered in last year's FUN auction, while the other piece is the Red Seal that we are offering this evening. Once part of the J.L. Irish and Steve Ivy collections, it is unique as a type for this bank and is a crisp mid-grade example with just some minor staining that affects nothing.
