Owego, NY - $20 1882 Brown Back Fr. 494 The Tioga National Bank Ch. # (E)862 PMG About Uncirculated 53.Large notes only were issued from this better Owego bank, the first of four to be chartered in this rural community in New York's Southern Tier region. This lovely $20 Brown Back is by far the finest example of the mere eleven overall pieces in the census from this charter that closed in 1921. It is well margined with bold ink colors, dark pen signatures, and no real evidence of circulation.
