Portland, CT - $5 1902 Red Seal Fr. 587 The First National Bank
Ch. # (N)1013 PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ.From this Middlesex County bank is this gorgeous note that we have offered three times previously - in 1998, 2012, and 2016. Each time we have said: "A magnificent note which is as nice a Red Seal as exists from here or from any other bank in the state. This is one of two Red Seals extant from the bank, with the other, which is this note's virtual twin, bringing $6,900 when sold as part of Don Gilletti's collection in 2008." Still as pretty as the first time we offered it 25 years ago, this example is certain to delight its fortunate new owner.
