Description

Lincoln, AL - $10 1902 Plain Back Fr. 628 The First National Bank Ch. # (S)10131 PMG Fine 12.
All notes from this one bank community are quite scarce, with the census now standing at just four large and four small examples. Not surprisingly, this community, in northeastern Alabama, was not named in honor of Abraham Lincoln. Rather, it was named after Benjamin Lincoln (1733-1810), a Revolutionary War general. One of the four reported large size, this $10 is a well circulated, but solid note with bold stamped signatures.
