Description
Disney Dollars Disney World $50 2005 50th Anniversary "Boyer Design" Rodgers R-122 PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ.The 50th anniversary of Disneyland in 2005 was such a big celebration that Disney Dollars were not issued in either 2004 or in 2006. Also, the $50 denomination was issued for the first and only time in not one, but two different designs. The example in this lot with serial number D00000242 is of the "Boyer" design named after the artist Charles Boyer who designed the center vignette of a modern day Mickey Mouse looking into a mirror and seeing in the reflection an earlier version of himself. To the immediate right of Mickey is a printed "C. Boyer" signature. The Charles Boyer notes were issued in limited numbers. PMG has graded only four higher than the example in this lot.
