Austin, TX- Consolidated Fund of Texas $500 April 28, 1840 Cr. CF19 PCGS Banknote Uncirculated 62 PPQ.Consolidated Fund notes were issued for a short period of time after the capital was moved from Houston to Austin in 1840. This example is well printed on bright paper with cut cancels in the signatures that have not resulted in either paper loss or shrinkage. Shull estimates a surviving population of around 15-50 notes.
