Flagstaff, AZ - $5 1929 Ty. 1 The First National Bank Ch. #
11120 PMG Choice Fine 15.While large notes from this northern Arizona community are occasionally available due to their survival in the Snowflake hoard, Series 1929 examples are quite another matter. For generations this was the "stopper" bank for collectors seeking to complete a collection from Arizona's eleven issuers, as just one example was known, likely because of this institution's very small issue before it closed its doors forever in January of 1931. That total has since increased to all of three notes, including this piece which was last on the market in our 2008 FUN auction. It has seen its share of circulation, but retains decent color and good body for the grade. It provides one fortunate collector an opportunity to complete a set of Series 1929 Arizona notes.
