T23 $10 1861 PF-2 Cr. 154 PMG Choice Fine 15.A note that was produced from a plate donated to the Confederate government by the Mechanics Savings Bank of Savannah. Only 20,333 notes were issued between November 15, 1861 and December 30, 1861 before production ceased. While circulated, this note is well printed on good paper with orange protector elements that still retain almost all of their unoxidized color. Notes like this example are rapidly disappearing from the scene. Ex. Randy Shipley Collection.
