Fr. 248 $2 1896 Silver Certificate PMG Gem Uncirculated 66
EPQ.A near-perfect example of this popular design featuring the vignette, "Science Presenting Steam and Electricity to Industry and Commerce" which was designed by Edwin H. Blashfield with engraving by Charles Schlecht and G.F.C. Smillie. The back engraving features portraits of Robert Fulton and Samuel F.B. Morse. This piece is exceptionally well centered for the grade and the inks appear as fresh as the day the note was printed.
