Norristown, PA- Bank of Montgomery County $1 Jan. 2, 1865 G14 Hoober 281-1Clockwise, the three Union generals and one colonel depicted on this $1 remainder are Gen. Winfield S. Hancock, Gen. John Hartranft, Col. Edwin Schall, and Gen. Adam J. Slemmer. The bank building is seen at center. The bank operated from 1814-65 and then became the Montgomery National Bank, charter number 1148. This appealing note received a grade of PCGS Choice About New 58 PPQ.
