Fr. 230 $1 1899 Silver Certificate PCGS Gem New 66PPQ. Last appearing in our May 2002 Central States sale where it was described, "A stunning beauty, with huge margins, perfect paper surfaces, deep original embossing and ideal centering of both sides. Add to that full, bright, flashy color and the single-digit serial number Z2. This is a lovely and important Black Eagle." We tend to agree with the description.
