Very Rare Fr. 1066 The Finest Of Five Known
Fr. 1066 $50 1914 Federal Reserve Note PMG Very Fine 30.We described this note as part of Tom Flynn's collection in April 2008 as "Track & Price lists only three known examples of this Burke-Houston Dallas District Fifty. Tom acquired this piece long enough ago that it is not listed in the census, although in an earlier, now antiquated census, it was listed as having been reported by Tom, but the serial number is a typo. In any event, the accurate total for this piece as this date is four. PMG has graded two, a VG and this VF 30. The note's only problem is a small area of discoloration toward the upper right of the back." At that sale, this note hammered for $24,000. The census has gone up by one, although this piece remains the finest graded.
