Lovely 1882 $100 Date Back
Sioux City, IA - $100 1882 Date Back Fr. 568 The Live Stock NB Ch. # (M)5022Fewer than 150 1882 $100 1882 Date Backs are known from all banks in the country combined, with the majority of high grade examples coming from a small run of less than ten pieces from this bank, all of which have been called AU or CU, depending on the whim of the cataloguer or grading service, since the early 1950's. The example we offer here is listed in the census, but has been off the market for many years. It is about as nice as any $100 Date Back we've seen, with bright white paper, gorgeous colors, sharp pen signatures, and the eye appeal of a note printed this morning. PCGS Choice About New 55, a perfect example to represent this very scarce type in any high end collection.
