PCGS Extremely Fine 45 Fr. 261 - Very Scarce at and Above This Level
Fr. 261 $5 1886 Silver Certificate PCGS Extremely Fine 45.A scarcer Silver Dollar Back number, and particularly scarce in high grade. PCGS and PMG combined have graded 188 examples of this number as of mid October. Of those 188 pieces, there are only five Uncirculated examples, with none of them at the Gem level. Even at the XF 45 level that this note has reached, it can be considered a grade rarity. We have seen few technically finer examples than this note, and even fewer with eye appeal exceeding that of this gorgeous About Uncirculated looking piece.
