Fr. 126 $20 1863 Legal Tender PMG Very Good 8 NET. PMG has noted "Margin Repairs, Splits"--both of which are indeed correct. Only 29 examples are listed in Track & Price, a number which includes Tom's note. Tom acquired this piece for $1760 from our January 1997 FUN sale, where it was also graded VG 8. Auction appearances for this number are rather spread out. Only a single piece sold in 2007, a single piece in 2006, and two notes in 2005. The note has a far better visual appearance than the VG grade would indicated, and the margin repairs are well done and barely visible.From The Thomas M. Flynn Collection
