Description
First Ever Public Offering
West Palm Beach, FL - $5 1902 Plain Back Fr. 606 The First NB Ch. # (S)11073The appearance of this note at public auction marks the first opportunity that Florida collectors have ever been afforded to obtain any large note from West Palm Beach at public sale. West Palm had only two large size issuers, with this bank represented by a miniscule three notes, all of which had previously been closely held for decades, and the other bank having only one large note extant, with that piece now ensconced in a prominent long term holding. Fortunately for collectors, this piece is evenly circulated and utterly unmolested, with an attractive appearance for a circulated note. It carries a PMG grade of Fine 12, which appears to be right on the money. We admit to having little clue what the final number will be when the hammer falls tonight, but but those who wish to come home with the only large size note from West Palm Beach ever publicly offered are advised to attend the sale with both money and determination.
