Mount Gilead, OH - $50 1882 Date Back Fr. 563 The NB of Morrow County at Mount Gilead Ch. # (M)5251An extremely scarce Ohio type and denomination, with only eleven of the 200 or so $50 Date Backs known coming from Ohio. One bank in Youngstown accounts for the majority of the reported pieces, with this the only such example in the census from Mount Gilead, a small community located in Morrow County in central Ohio, and, coincidentally, at the center of population in Ohio. Pen signed PCGS Very Fine 35, a lovely example worthy of a strong bid.
