Greensboro, NC- Mount Hecla Steam (Cotton) Mills 12-1/2¢; 25¢; 50¢; $1 1837 Very Good or Better.
The Mount Hecla mill was the first steam-powered cotton mill in the state and was in operation from 1834 to 1850. The 12-1/2¢ note has a short edge tear at left center, The 25¢ has a couple of very small fold splits and edge nicks. The 50¢ has a small internal split. The $1 has a small edge split, a couple of pinholes, as well as a couple of small gutter fold printing errors. (Total: 4 notes)
