The New Haven pair includes a partial note at top and the Windsor pair includes a partial note at both top and bottom. Occasionally banks had a need for only some of the denominations appearing on a plate as was apparently the case with the two uncut pairs in this lot. In these instances, the bank note company would simply ink a portion of the plate and print the desired notes on a smaller sheet of paper. (Total: 2 sheets)
