Oil City, PA- Oil City Bank $5 Sep. 15, 1864 G6a Hoober 290-3 PMG Choice Fine 15.The $5 design features a Civil War-related center vignette of three Union soldiers gathered around a campfire, seemingly reading mail from home. This is flanked by a vignette depicting a farm couple at left and a portrait of Washington at right. ABNCo added a green denominational counter, protector panel, and border on the face as well as a green denominational back. PMG mentions tape.
