Description

Brattleboro, VT- F.A. Hubbard "3" Advertising Note ND (ca. 1870s) Vlack 5190 PMG Choice Very Fine 35.
Further information on F.A. Hubbard, aside from the fact that he was a jeweler and optician, has proven surprisingly difficult to unearth. At this point we assume that the note was used during the mid to late 1870s. It was receivable as a 5% discount on cash orders of $5 or more. The note is free of the commonly seen edge and fold splits often seen on notes like this, with PMG mentioning only a lightly penciled "1574" in the back left margin.
