About Uncirculated 50.The oversized portrait of Gaspar Melchor de Jovellanos is seen on the face. Auction records show this may be the finest example of an 1893 100 Pesetas note to be offered at public auction. The inking is as bold as when it was printed and the paper is bright and attractive. Some minor repairs are noted, but this piece easily bests an EF 40 Net we sold in 2018 for $1,500.
