Philippines "World War Two Naval Aviators' Issue" 5 Pesos 1941 (1944 ) Pick 91c.Serial number E13360832E tells us this was one of the notes used in naval aviators' emergency packets. These packets contained a mixture of paper money, British gold sovereigns, and gold rings. The packets were intended for use by downed pilots in order to escape enemy detection in the Philippine Islands. A great World War Two note that is seldom available. PMG Very Fine 30.
