South Africa Gouvernements Noot, Pietersburg 100 Pounds 1.4.1901 Pick 65 Hern 498 PMG Uncirculated 62.Impressive and incredible highest denomination issued via Pietersburg in April 1901. The Second Anglo Boer War was coming to an end, with the English on the verge of victory when this note was issued. Only 200 examples of this denomination were printed and issued, with this example bearing S/N #110. Some stains and a notation are mentioned for accuracy. At the time of cataloging, this is the first and only Uncirculated example graded in the PMG Population Report. Worthy of serious consideration as this rare type is exceptionally rare in this top grade.
