1916 Madras 100 Rupees

India Government of India, Madras 100 Rupees 27.5.1916 Pick A17aa Jhunjhunwalla-Razack 2A.5.2E.3 PMG Very Fine 20 Net.
Government of India notes are interesting and appeal to collectors worldwide. This interesting variety is surprisingly rare, and at the time of cataloging, a mere three examples are graded in the PMG Population Report. This example was split in two, either when cancelled or to make two 50 Rupees notes for easier transactions. However, the two sides have been reunited, as this note has been repaired. Spindle holes at issue are mentioned for accuracy on this rarely seen Madras type.
