Belgian Congo Banque Centrale du Congo Belge 500 Francs 15.3.1953 Pick 28a PMG Very Fine 30.An iconic high denomination note issued in the Belgian Congo, together with Rwanda and Burundi in the 1950s, this type is downright rare, as there are only three known dates, all of which use Prefix A. The offered example presents excellently for the grade. Minor repairs are mentioned for accuracy. This is one of the rarer type notes for colonial Africa and worthy of serious consideration.
