Description

Presumably Unique Tennessee Obsolete

Cherry Valley, TN- J. K. Cartwright $1 Nov. 5, 1862 PCGS Fine 12.
Unlisted in Garland. Printed on brown paper with a central vignette of a man on stagecoach facing to his right. A fully issued note that is dated and numbered, being signed by J.K. Cartwright. Also of interest are the existence of J.T. Hollis scrip notes which are a little different in style but are interestingly from Smithville, which was crossed out over Cherry Valley, on those 1863 typeset notes. A nearly full frame line is seen on all sides for this note that is believed to be unique.
