Netherlands State Note 50 Gulden 12.11.1895 Pick 3 PL78.c1 AV63.3 PMG Very Fine 25.
Highest denomination of the Muntbiljet Convertible Treasury Note series of 1885 to 1897. At the time of cataloging, this is one of only two examples present in the PMG Population Report. Seriously rare in any grade and perhaps an underappreciated type of the series. Signature panel of Sprenger van Eijk and Moens. Circulated, pleasant, and problem-free. Series letter Z is the first series for the 1895 date. Very rare and a pretty note featuring a small portrait of King William III.
