Fr. 1083b $100 1914 Red Seal Federal Reserve Note PMG About
Uncirculated 55.This lovely, well margined example of a very scarce San Francisco $100 Red Seal is one of only 25 pieces in the latest Track & Price census, just three of which are listed with a CU grade. Red Seal hundreds are scarce in all grades and for all districts and this pretty note certainly has the look of a Choice New note within its holder with its bright, white paper, vivid ink colors, and no real evidence of circulation. Last on the market in a 2009 auction, it certainly compares quite favorably to another PMG About Uncirculated 55 example, offered in our 2023 Central States auction, that realized $24,000.
