Description
Three Designated Depository of the United States Color Proof Receipts 186_.These are National Bank Note Co. printer's proofs on thick paper. They are identified as plate numbers 2-4, with the first two green and the last one gold tinted. They show signs of sturdy mounting on the back. All three have small punch cancels along their denomination and signature lines. Plate number 2 has an approximate 2.5 inch tear, plate number 3 is missing its upper right corner, and plate number 4 has an approximate one inch tear and a missing upper right corner outside the frame line. These are rare government fiscal documents. Overall, Very Fine with damage.
