Lovely $50 1928 Gold 65 PPQ
Fr. 2404 $50 1928 Gold Certificate. PCGS Banknote Gem Unc 65
PPQ.A bold orange overprint, full margins plus embossing adorn this lovely $50 Gold. The big jump in prices realized for Fr. 2404 in 65 EPQ/PPQ occurred in our auctions in 2022. In that year, auction results almost doubled from what was realized in 2021. Furthermore, the year 2023 saw a PMG 65 EPQ fetch $14,400 and a PCGS Banknote 65 PPQ close at $10,500. We did not auction a single example at that grade in 2024, however, we did have a PMG 65 EPQ example realize $16,800 in January 2025.
