Description

Rare People's Republic of China 1951 10000 Yuan

China People's Republic 10000 Yuan 1951 Pick 858Aa
This example issued in Inner Mongolia is quite simply the rarest note in the first series of Renminbi. About Uncirculated or higher examples, when they do come to auction, trade for the equivalent of $50,000 in China, with Very Fine examples at around $20,000. It will be hard to place an accurate estimate on this note which is probably the first to be introduced to a Western audience in a decade. For the benefit of collectors, it will keep the Standard Catalog estimate, but very heated bidding is expected before the hammer falls. No internal wear holes are seen. A problem-free PCGS Very Fine 20.
