Description

Fr. 808 $5 1915 Federal Reserve Bank Note PMG Very Fine 25 EPQ.
San Francisco $5 FRBNs are unusual compared to nearly all others in the series. Their face plate dates are May 20, 1914, instead of May 18, 1914; the exception is Fr. 809a, which uses the May 18 face plate. There are fewer than 40 examples known of this 1915 $5 San Francisco FRBN with the engraved Teehee-Burke signatures combined with the printed ones of Clerk and Lynch. On this moderately circulated example which is new to the census, the wear is even and the stamped signatures are quite bold.
