Gem Woodchopper with Low Serial Number 16
Low Serial Number H16 Fr. 88 $5 1907 Legal Tender PMG Gem
Uncirculated 66 EPQ.This splendid Woodchopper features excellent serial number embossing, rich green color on the back, and balanced margins. Its rarity is further magnified by the presence of an extremely low two digit serial number 16 from the H block. We last auctioned this piece in January 2015. Since then, offerings of Fr. 88 low serial number examples have been scant. The most recent note to make an appearance was a PMG 67 EPQ with a low serial number H77 that realized $6,600.
