Description

Radford, VA - $10 1902 Plain Back Fr. 633 The Farmers & Merchants National Bank Ch. # 11690 PMG Choice Fine 15.
An extremely rare bank in large size, just three pieces are reported from this Radford bank that was only in business from 1920 until 1932 when it was absorbed by the First National Bank in town. All three known survivors are rather circulated including this $10 Plain Back that retains decent color although it does have some repairs. Five years ago, a $20 Plain Back from this bank, which was called a raw Fine with repairs, sold at auction for $2,880.
