Le Sueur, MN - $5 1902 Date Back Fr. 590 The First NB Ch. # (M)7199While not in the league of the serial number 1 Red Seal we are also offering this evening from this very rare southern Minnesota bank, it does present an opportunity for the collector to acquire this tough charter who may not have the means to pursue the Red Seal. This is a pleasing mid-grade Date Back from the sole issuer in this community and is one of just four notes in the census. It features excellent color for the grade along with bold signatures, one signed and one stamped. Some wallet staining is noted on the back but that is certainly offset by the rarity and desirability of this tough Minnesota note. PMG Very Fine 30.
