New Berlin, NY - $10 1882 Brown Back Fr. 479 The First National Bank Ch. # 151 PMG Very Fine 25 EPQ.This low charter number Chenango County issuer entered receivership in 1912, leaving a currently documented census of just a dozen notes. This offering is a new addition to that small group, and it is also only the second $10 Brown Back to be reported. It has adequate margins all around, still displays strong officers' signatures in black ink, and retains original surfaces. Four years ago, we sold the other known $10 Brown Back in a PMG Very Fine 25 (no EPQ) holder for $3,120.
