Geyser, Montana Large Size Uncut Sheet

Geyser, MT - $10-$10-$10-$20 1902 Plain Back Fr. 632/658 The First NB Ch. # (W)10952 Uncut Sheet PCGS Banknote Choice VF 35 Details.
Uncut sheets from Montana are difficult to locate, with just over a half-dozen large size sheets known extant according to the National Bank Note Census. The First National Bank in Geyser was established in 1917, just before a difficult drought set in for the state. While it survived the drought, it did not survived the Great Depression, choosing to voluntarily liquidate in 1935.

The name, Geyser, is evocative of the best features of the American West, highlighted by the geothermal pools in Yellowstone National Park. The penned signatures of Cashier E.F. Galt and President H.H. Thompson remain bold on top of the bright and original paper. Easily a top target for Montana specialists.
