Saint Louis, MO - $50 1882 Brown Back Fr. 515 The Continental
National Bank Ch. # 4048 PMG Fine 12.This circulated yet still attractive high denomination Brown Back comes from a short-lived St. Louis bank that issued only this type during its brief tenure from 1889 until its closure in 1902. One of just four $50s in the census, it does have some repairs, but retains pleasing color and dark printed signatures.
