Cambridge, MA - $5 1882 Brown Back Fr. 466 The First National
Bank Ch. # 433 PMG Choice Fine 15.An exceptionally rare Cambridge bank that issued large size only before liquidating in 1904. It is one of just three notes in census, only two of which have been publicly offered in the past 40 years. We last offered this pen signed $5 Brown Back, which has a minor repair, in our 2009 FUN auction where it fetched over $8,000. It remains very rare and is certainly a desirable piece for one fortunate Bay State collector.
