Description

Southport, CT - $2 Original Fr. 387b The Southport National Bank Ch. # 660 PMG Choice Fine 15.
A very scarce note, this offering comes from the only bank in this affluent Fairfield County community before the receiver arrived to shut its doors in 1903. This attractive Lazy Deuce was last on the market in our auction of The Connecticut Collection in January of 1998. It is a pleasing, evenly circulated note with solid paper for the grade. Displaying more than ample margins for a New England First Charter note, it exhibits attractive color and dark pen signatures.
