Boldly Printed San Francisco $5 National Gold Bank Note
San Francisco, CA - $5 1870 Fr. 1136 The First National Gold
Bank Ch. # 1741 PMG Very Fine 25 Net.There is a bit of soil on the face and a couple of minor and deftly executed edge repairs are seen, but the paper quality on the National Gold Bank Note is solid. Also, the all important gold coin vignette on the reverse is sharp and perfectly defined, making the PMG assigned grade easy to understand. Last May, we auctioned another PMG Very Fine 25 example, with rust stains and a tear for $6,000.
