Contrary to popular myth, there is no evidence whatsoever that this community took its name from the city in Russia or was named by a Russian immigrant. This is the only Number 1 note, large or small, reported from this charter and it is crossing the auction block for the first time. It has some folds but, otherwise, this "A" position is a bright and crisp piece. This is a great note for the Idaho collectors or anyone who appreciates Number 1 notes.
