Ireland Anti-Coercion Fund Irish National League of Massachusetts $1 Donation Receipt ND circa 1880 PMG Choice Uncirculated 64Portrait at left is of Charles Stewart Parnell an Irish nationalist politician who served in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. In some circles he would become known as the "un-crowned King of Ireland." He held a moderate stance on Irish Home Rule. This item is a receipt for a $1 donation towards the Home Rule movement as Parnell toured the United States in 1879-80 and had an audience with President Rutherford B. Hayes. Parnell addressed the House of Representatives on his tour.
