Little Falls, NY- Herkimer County Bank $5 July 1, 1852 NY-1220 G34 PMG Choice Very Fine 35.High grade, issued Registered series note; can't imagine a nicer one. Though listed, it's much superior to the Haxby Plate Note. Interestingly, it's serial 6000 and maybe was saved as the last note in this entire issued run? Center, cattle and sheep trading in small die. Intricate "5" at right with seated Justice. At the left, rotated New York Comptroller's Office seal. Very crisp note with bold details. These were mostly redeemed for new Nationals in 1865 when the bank converted (Ch.1344, liquidated in 1878). Another lovely note from this fresh cache of rarities most being auctioned for the first time.
