Enticing Red-ended Issue $1 Little Falls Note

Little Falls, NY- Herkimer County Bank $1 July 1, 1862 NY-1220 G52a SENC PMG Very Fine 20.
This exciting collection group yields many fascinating rarities that are first times appearances at Heritage. The first denomination from a visually enticing trio of red-ended notes from final issue of Bank Department registered notes; these converting a few years later into exchanged for Original Series Ch. 1344 notes in 1865 if so surrendered. The bank's cashier signing here became the signing bank president for the nationals. Of those, we have handled only two aces, the last in 2006 and the better one realized $10,925 in 2003. Rawdon, Wright, Hatch & Edson full red security end panels outlining tall "1." Added "ABC" monogram. At center, facing girl winsomely eyes you holding a scythe. Bank seal left and female at upper right. Fully signed with sharp colors. SENC and doubtlessly a great rarity just like their National Bank Note Original Series compatriots.
